JAPANESE GARDEN
One of the crowning features of Horsforth Hall Park is the Japanese garden. Walking through the entrance to this walled garden is like being transported to another world. Its harmonious design around a large central lake with features such as a waterfall and red arched bridge. Why not take a seat on the wooden bench and sit in the serenity of this peaceful space and appreciate the plants including camellias, acers and conifers? It’s a blissful escape.
The Japanese Garden in Horsforth Hall Park is now supported by the Japanese Garden Society and two of our members have joined the society to improve the maintenace and care of the garden.
We were able to receive a grant from The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation to promote mutual understanding between UK and Japan. This grant has allowed us to renovate parts of the garden and purchase the new lantern.
Our Saturday morning wellbeing team meet and garden every Saturday morning 10am until 12 noon. You are welcome to call and see us and join our gardening team anytime.
By becoming a member of Friends of Horsforth Hall Park you are supporting and ensuring the park continually improves.
